Original Bronze Bike!

Dick Cross’ life size Bronze Bike was unveiled during the 2014 Wallowa County Thunder Run.  The unveiling was followed by the blessing of the bike and prayer and the start of the Tribute To Bikers, Past, Present and Future.  Enjoy this Gallery of some of the incredible details.      Due to unforeseen circumstances, the project had been put on hold.  With no financial help from the Bronze Bike Rally, I have moved on.  For it takes more than this to stop a dream.  We have made promises for 7 years to the bikers that we had invited to our county to share in our beauty and to be part of the completion of the Bronze Bike Project.

Well, it's time to finish the project.  With financial help from a local business owner, and the support of many local riders and friends, and riders of the American Legion, the bike is being cast while we talk.  We plan the unveiling on Friday August 22nd, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Joseph on the side street near the Community Center.

Some people think this Bronze Bike Project was a waste of time and others didn't think that I was serious enough.  But ya know, Art is in the eye of the beholder and if I had to explain it, they would never understand.

After the unveiling we are going to have a parade of motorcycles leaving Joseph with the American Legion Riders leading the way.  Ending up at the Enterprise Fairgrounds where the Bronze Bike will be on display.

     We will see ya there . . . .
